The members of the Indian cricket team paid tribute to legendary sprinter Milkha Singh on the 2nd day of the World Test Championship final. Milkha Singh had passed away due to COVID-19 complications on Friday night (June 18) at the age of 91.
The players also decided to wear black armbands to remember the Flying Sikh. "#TeamIndia is wearing black armbands in remembrance of Milkha Singhji, who passed away due to COVID-19," BCCI wrote on Twitter.
Indian captain Virat Kohli wrote on Twitter: "A legacy that inspired a whole nation to aim for excellence. To never give up and chase your dreams. Rest in Peace #MilkhaSingh ji. You will never be forgotten."
