J&K: Two terrorists killed by security forces in Pulwama district

 

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed by security forces in a gunfight at Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir's Pulwama district early this morning.

 

Police said that a joint team of Police, Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a Cordon and Search Operation based on intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area.

 

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, triggering a gunfight, which resulted in the killing of two terrorists. The identity of the slain terrorists is being ascertained.

 

Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.
