The 10-days nationwide campaign will conclude on January 23. Many programmes will be organised as part of the campaign, including ‘Sah Bhoj’, where people from different castes will eat together.
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) launched a 10-day nationwide campaign, ‘Samrasta Abhiyan’ on Friday (January 14), to send a message that ‘All Hindus Are One’.
On the eve of the launch of the nationwide campaign, VHP national secretary and Akhil Bharatiya Samrasta Pramukh (ABSP) Devji Rawat held a meeting with the office-bearers in Uttar Pradesh and participated in a ‘Sah Bhoj’ organised in Sharda Nagar of Kanpur district.
Speaking about the Samrasta Abhiyan, Rawat said it would be carried out by the activists of the VHP and its wings, including Bajrang Dal, across the country to take the message to the masses that “All Hindus Are One, no matter which caste they belong to”.
“The aim of the campaign is to bridge the caste divide, end inequality and strengthen the Hindu society,” Rawat said. He added, “During the nationwide programme, various events like meetings with community members, Sah Bhoj, Ram Khichdi, Padyatras by (Hindu) saints will be organised across the country. The activists of the VHP, Bajrang Dal and other wings will organise the events in their respective areas.”
Multiple events will be organised to recognise and celebrate the contributions of the intellectuals, doctors, litterateurs and other eminent persons belonging to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other underprivileged sections of the Hindu society.
VHP was founded on August 29, 1964, on the auspicious day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, with the blessings of the Saint Shakti of Bharat… with the objective to organise- consolidate the Hindu society and to serve & protect the Hindu Dharma. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the organisations inspired by it have been fighting against the sins of untouchability since their very inception.
The VHP has also been running campaigns to awaken the masses about the illegal conversions happening in the country and the danger it poses to the country and society.
