The girl lodged a complaint against the cleric and the youth for trying to kill her after raping her together.

A sensational case of love jihad has come to light from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. According to the information received, a woman living in Delhi has filed a complaint on the IGRS portal against a Muslim youth from Prayagraj for bluffing, assaulting, and forcing her to convert her religion. The girl has also lodged a complaint against the cleric and the youth for trying to kill her after raping her together. A woman living in Delhi had come to Prayagraj seven to eight months ago to visit her relatives, where she met a young man.

The young man introduced himself as Sanjay Singh. Since then, both had been in touch on the phone. After a few days, the young man called her to Prayagraj to meet his family members on the pretext of marriage. After meeting Shabu Ahmed's family members, she realised that he was a Muslim, after which the girl refused to marry. Later, Shebu's family members persuaded the girl to change her religion and marry Shebu. At the same time, she was forcibly made a witness in a case of land registry. Shebu had kept the girl captivated in his own house, where a cleric came daily and pressured the girl to adopt Islam.

The fellow girl was also made a witness in a land registry case. With great difficulty, the girl came out of captivity in the name of buying clothes for the wedding. After dodging Shebu, she ran to Delhi. But after six months, she was allegedly threatened by an inspector in a fake land registry case. Fearing for her family, when the girl talked to Shebu about this, he asked her to come to Prayagraj. Shebu also threatened to kill her if she refused to come and give testimony in the land registry case.

She was also assured that he would never harass her in future once this land registry case was dismissed. On Shebu's assurance, when the girl reached his house, not only was she assaulted, but she was also taken to Fatehpur and brutally raped by Shebu and the cleric. It was the same cleric who came to Shebu's house and persuaded her to convert to Islam.

In her complaint, the girl said that after raping her at gunpoint, Shebu and Maulana were planning to kill her. At the same time, hearing a hooter of a police vehicle passing by, the girl jumped out of the vehicle and fled. Hiding under a nearby shop, she waited for morning. She boarded the first bus to Delhi and lodged a complaint on the IGRS portal after reaching home.
