Science, technology and languages should complement each other for a favourable impact: Dr. Vijay Bhatkar

Dr. Bhatkar added that science is nothing but a philosophy. Science and spirituality are manifestations of one and the same reality. One should never forget that both paths lead the seeker to the ultimate truth.

Pune: Language is a medium to understand any invention. On the other hand, the use of technology can further flourish the language. Also, science and technology, along with languages, should complement each other to make a favourable impact, said Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, internationally acclaimed computer scientist and brain behind PARAM supercomputer. He was bestowed with the prestigious Dr. Hedgewar Pragya Samman by Shri Badabazar Kumar Sabha Pustakalaya. He opined, “Science and technology need to be taught in vernacular languages, it is the need of the hour and it demands consistent, widespread efforts. We need to put in consolidated efforts. Only then will it result in a resurgence of Indian men.”

Ramdutt Chakradhar, Saha-sarkaryavah of RSS and Padma Shri Dr. Girish Prabhune were present at the ceremony presided by Ravindra Wanjarwadkar Pune Mahanagar Sanghachalak.

Dr. Bhatkar added that science is nothing but a philosophy. Science and spirituality are manifestations of one and the same reality. One should never forget that both paths lead the seeker to the ultimate truth.

Ramdattaji said, “Entire nation was suppressed under intellectual slavery for years. Dr. Hedgewar, with his socio-anthropological experiment of Sangh Shakha pushed the entire nation from self-centric thought to nation-centric thinking. We need to rejuvenate and re-establish spiritual, national ethos in this golden jubilee year of independence.

Dr. Girish Prabhune also expressed his views on the occasion. Ravindra Wanjarwadkar gave the concluding remarks. Vaidya Ashutosh Jategaonkar sang some soulful songs and enthralled the listeners.

The award consisted of a citation and one lakh rupees. The secretary of Badabazar offered a vote of thanks. Dr. Tara Dugad compared the program.
