Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), on October 19, organised a protest against the killing of non-local poor labourers in Jammu and Kashmir by terrorists.
"The terrorists launched attacks on the non-local labourers on the instigation of Pakistan and its Intelligence Agency ISI," reports quoted the protestors as saying.
"The protestors alleged when these labourers are facing attacks and death through the hands of terrorists playing in the hands of Pakistan, the UT and Central Government is not taking measures to safeguard their lives and they have failed to provide compensation to the labourers who were killed by terrorists who want the nationalist people should be scared so that they leave Kashmir," reported Daily Excelsior.
The organisation has demanded Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the victims of terrorism in Kashmir recently. It also urged the governments to give stringent punishment to terrorists and their sympathisers. It also demanded that the security be extended to the migrant labourers working or staying in terror-prone areas. BMS further urged the local residents to stand by the labourers from other states.
Neelam Sharma, General Secretary, BMS; Harbans Choudhary and Subash Verma its senior leaders, Rohit Seth, Pawan Sharma, Chuni Lal, Roop Lal, Ashok Choudhary, General secretary Bhawan Nirman Mazdoor Sangh; Mukesh Kumar, president Marble Workers Union and others also participated in the demonstration.
