Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday had wide-ranging consultations with pharma executives, doctors, health experts and senior ministry officials. The second wave of Covid-19 is believed to be more infectious and is leading to massive cases across the country. The government has also ramped up the production of other medicines mostly used for patients suffering from Covid. The production of Oxygen is being taken up on a priority basis. Many states were complaining about the shortage of Oxygen for the patients. All these efforts are expected to check the spread of the virus. It also allowed private hospitals to procure vaccines for inoculation. Till now, only people above 45 were eligible for vaccination.
