Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has a very clear stance towards mafia activities in Uttar Pradesh. His ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy was visible the other day when a complainant informed that his land was grabbed by a mafiosi.
The other day while he was meeting people in Janta Darshan at Gorakhpur Mutt, and received a complaint that mafiosi has grabbed land, he instructed the officials to swing into action immediately and free the land, which the officials did instantly and submitted the report within an hour
He not only got the property freed from illegal possession of mafia in an hour but also warned the officers that no such reports should come to him.
During a Janata Darshan programme at the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur, one Rajendra Yadav of Khoa Mandi locality complained to the chief minister about the illegal possession of his land by a land mafia.
“The land was registered in my name in 1983 and it was in our occupancy since then. However, a land mafia got the land illegally registered in his name and also demolished the house on it by misleading officials,” Rajendra informed the chief minister.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath not only lined-up the officials but to the surprise of everyone present there, he said, “I remember that about 10 years back I myself had gone there and after getting the house vacated, Rajendra was given the possession. How come the mafia was again given the possession without examining the facts and the house has been demolished too?”
Following the direction from the chief minister, the officials of the district administration, police and Revenue department reached the spot with a JCB and demolished the under-construction house within an hour, and submitted action taken report to the chief minister.
It may be mentioned here that the chief minister met about 200 people during the Janata Darshan programme in the morning during his Gorakhpur visit and listened to their complaints. Besides assuring the people of speedy redressal, he also directed the officials to take necessary action.
