A video report, which was unknowingly aired by Jamaat-e-Islami-backed Malayalam news channel ‘Media One’, has exposed the real perpetrators of Delhi riots. In a news bulletin this morning, ‘Media One’ telecasted footage from Muslim dominated Jafrabad in North East Delhi, the epicentre of the on-going anti-CAA riots, that showed the media team, including a reporter and cameraman, begging to a Muslim mob to spare them!

The Muslim mob tried to manhandle the reporters and snatch their video camera and mics. When the media team claimed they were Muslims, the mob asked them to present the ID proof! In the video, the media persons can be seen crying aloud to the frenzied mob: “We are Muslims. We are from Kerala. We can show you our ID proof.” After confirming their religious identity, the leaders of the group intervened to pacify the mob.

In the same bulletin, a reporter from Delhi also stated on the record that ‘earlier, when such incidents took place, violent mobs used to spare them if they come to know ‘they are from South’. Even after facing heat from the rioters, the Jamaat-e-Islami-sponsored channel continues to extend its support to the anti-CAA rioters.

Kerala Chief Minister Vijayan and CPM Kerala state secretary Balakrishnan had accused of Jamaat-e-Islami and PFI of instigating riots across the country in the name of anti-CAA protests. CPM state secretary Balakrishnan had said that a section in Islam is trying to create a communal divide in the country. Naming Islamic extremist outfits Jamaat-e-Islami and PFI-SDPI, he had accused the Islamic outfits of inciting hatred for Hindus.

Meanwhile, the national capital continues to be on tenterhooks as anti-CAA rioters ran amok in the parts of Delhi, targeting the Delhi police and Hindus. As per reports, the riots were well-orchestrated against the backdrop of the high-profile visit of US President Donald Trump. Incidents of violence, arson, stone-pelting were reported from several parts of the city, especially northeast Delhi.
