The much-boasted state-sponsored Women Wall of January 1, 2019, turned a farce with fissures and missing links in several places in almost all districts. It happened despite the total misuse of entire government machinery and giving orders to schools and even IT parks to make sure that their women employees (and students) do participate in the Wall. Government employees were told, they had no option as the evasion could lead to tortures like transfer and other forms of tortures. Even the labour force under National Rural Employment Guarantee were forced to join. Vehicles of even the unaided schools were asked to run for transporting the Wall women.
The crowds and well connected Wall were seen only in district headquarters. Missing links were reported from rural areas of almost all districts, especially, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kasaragod. Even two km long gap was reported from Kasaragod. There CPM attacked BJP and RSS workers. Several missing links were seen even in Anakamali where Kochi International Airport is situated. These developments prove that Pinarayi Vijayan enjoys power and money, but no popular support. Even his own party men and women do not approve his Shabarimala policy.
