A notice has been sent by National Investigation Agency (NIA) to PK Vijayan, a professor at Delhi University, for questioning in the Bhima Koregaon riots case. The notice sent by the NIA was issued under various sections of the IPC and UAPA. Earlier on 28 July, NIA arrested Delhi University professor Hany Babu.

Hany Babu is a member of the committee formed to defend GN Saibaba, who is serving life imprisonment for his links with Maoist organizations and is also associated with the Revolutionary Democratic Front (RDF), established by GN Saibaba.

This organization, called RDF, operates in about 13 Indian states. In most states, its members and chief leaders have been arrested and the organization has been banned. Members of this organization have also been associated with the Maoist Communist Party. The main task of the Revolutionary Democratic Front is to mobilize the general public against the armed forces. This organization is banned in many states of the country.

Bhima Koregaon – Elgar Parishad case

In the 1818 Battle of Bhima Koregaon, the Peshwa fought against the British East India Company. A small part of the Dalit society fought on behalf of the British Army in this war. In commemoration of this war, a program called Elgar Parishad was organized in 2018 to mark 200 years of the war.

After this event, fierce violence erupted in this entire region. There were riots across the region. After these riots, the NIA in its investigation revealed the entire nexus of the Maoists. Maoist ideologues and Naxalite supporters were arrested from across the country. People like Sudha Bhardwaj, Rona Wilson, Surendra Gadling, Mahesh Raut, Soma Sen, Arun Ferreira, Gonzalvis, Varvara Rao were arrested.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) reported that Professor Hany Babu of Delhi University was related to the Maoist organization Kangkepak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) in Manipur. The Kangkepak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) is a banned Maoist organization active in the North East, especially in Manipur and involved in extortion from government offices, involvement in violent incidents and levy.

KCP-MC Manipur has active bases in Myanmar and Nepal. They also has a deep connection with the Naxalites-Maoists as they exchange arms and ammunition among themselves. It has many groups but the parent organization is KCP. The Maoist-Naxalites provide them with ammonium nitrate in return.

Hany Babu was in touch with Information and Publicity Secretary of Military Affairs, Pankhuba Meitei of the banned terrorist organization KCP-MC. Hany Babu’s contacts with other Maoists in Manipur have also come to light. Hany Babu and Rona Wilson campaigned to raise funds to support the release of Maoist terrorist leader Pallath Govindakutty of the Communist Party of Maoist.
