Renowned industrialist, philanthropist and former chairman of Tata Sons, Shri Ratan Tata will attend the concluding ceremony of the centenary year celebrations of Nana Palkar, who dedicated his life to the mission of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The programme will be organised by Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti. RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat will also be present at the event which is scheduled to take place on August 24.
The event comes a few a weeks after the former President Dr Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Nagpur to deliver a lecture at the Samaroh of Tritiya Varsh Sangh Shiksha Varg. Ratan Tata had visited Dr Mohan Bhagwat in 2016 at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur and paid floral tribute to Dr K B Hedgewar at Smriti Mandir, Samadhi of Doctorji.

He passed away on March 1, 1967 at the age of 49. Throughout his life he strove to alleviate the pain and suffering of the sick and needy. After his untimely demise in March 1967, Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti (NPSS) was formed in 1968, to perpetuate his memory and pay him tribute in action.
