The Uttar Pradesh administration, after instructions from the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has set up two ‘Pink Booths’ in every district for the vaccination of women in the state. One will be used for the 18-45 age group and the other for 45 plus. The decision was taken by the chief minister to encourage more and more women to get vaccinated. The state government has set a target of administering one crore doses in the month of June under its “Mission June”. And for July, it is three crore doses. More than 6500 vaccination centres are currently running to achieve the target. The state has administered more than two crore doses. It has administered more than 30 lakh people in the 18-44 age bracket, highest in the country. The state government has also decided to take services of more than a lakh nursing students for administering the vaccines.
