Prayag Vishwa Hindu Sammelan from Feb. 11
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is organising the third Vishwa Hindu Sammelan on February 11 in Allahabad. According to Dr Surendra Jain, joint general secretary of VHP, representatives from more than 100 countries of the world and 1,00,000 villages of Bharat will participate in the historical conference. Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Kanchi Swami Jayendra Saraswati, Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Joshi Math, Swami Vasudevanand, Sri Sri Ravishankar, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Swami Vishvesh Teerth of Udupi Muth, Swami Ramdev, Bapu Asaram, Shri Murari Bapu, Swami Satyamitranand, Swami Awadheshanand, Dr Pranav Pandya of Gayatri Parivar and various other saints will address the gathering of more than three lakh people. Various other dignitaries like Shri K.P.S. Gill, Shri Maninderjit Singh Bitta and Shri Prakash Singh will also participate in the conference.
The opening ceremony will be held on February 11 at 12 noon. There will be a public meeting on February 12 at 2 pm. Closing ceremony will be held on February 13 at 2 pm. The venue of the meeting is Sector 8 of the Kumbh Mela ground.

Acharya Giriraj Kishore felicitated on 87th birthday
Veteran VHP leader Acharya Giriraj Kishore has turned 87. His birthday was celebrated in Delhi as Prerna Diwas by the VHP activists. The founder of Prajna Mahila Mission, Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri, inaugurated the Prerna Diwas at VHP headquarters at Rama Krishna Puram in New Delhi with a havan in the morning of February 4. Later, a reception was organised at the VHP?s media center (North Avenue) in the evening. Prominent among those who wished Acharyaji a long life were former Union Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, VHP general secretary Dr Pravin Togadia, Swami Raghwanand Maharaj of Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi Sabha, president of ISKCON Swami Mahamantra Das, president of Dharmayatra Mahasangh Shri Mangeram Garg, Swami Prajnanand Maharaj, Shri Ramswaroop Koli, MP, Smt Maya Singh, MP, Shri Gopal Vyas, MP, Shri Jaibhagwan Singh Pavaiya, former MP and Shri Rampal Singh, former MP.
