Unfair expulsion:
Apropos the article Not justiciable! (Organiser, 12-3-2006); I fully agree with Shri R. Balashankar and would further like to raise the question whether the Lok Sabha has got the right at all to truncate itself for whatever reason. Even the people who are the sovereign have not given themselves the right to recall the elected representative(s). Parliament is the product of the Constitution, which the people have given themselves in the first place, and the house of representatives is elected according to the tenets of the Constitution and not independently. Just imagine in a worst kind of a situation the House being led into an eventuality of manipulating the numbers using such a right, with the sinister consequence of making or marring a government, which, de facto, would be unconstitutional. In case the right to expel members is vested with the House, then it should go with the stipulation that no resolution would be considered as passed if the difference in votes (for and against) is equal to or less than that of the expelled number of votes.

Shocking and disturbing:
Apropos Difficulties in probing big people (Organiser, 12-3-2006); The writer has correctly said political neutrality in the functioning and non-interference in the investigation is the only way out. Determination of the truth and getting evidence is of utmost importance. Therefore, the verdict in the Jessica Lal case, acquitting all the nine accused, is shocking. It is another example of how the Indian system works. It is unfortunate that the police could not provide enough evidence to get a conviction. Such verdicts make people lose faith in the judiciary. The judicial process is too time consuming and no one is sure of light at the end of the tunnel. That the major witnesses to the heinous crime turned hostile is a shame. Stringent laws need to be formulated for the protection of witnesses against money and muscle power.

The acquittal of all the nine accused in the Jessica Lal case clearly demonstrates the need to revamp and modernise our justice delivery mechanism. Had the police acted swiftly and in a scientific manner, the gun from which the bullet was fired could have been found and its owner traced. It is time legal loopholes were plugged to prevent criminals from getting away on technical grounds.

The verdict raises doubts about the credibility of the police. That is certainly a great moment for the police and the prosecution. The gun was not found, the bullets did not match and eyewitnesses actually did not see the shooting. Maybe, Jessica is still alive! Our investigative agencies and the justice delivery system have succeeded in making all of us hang our heads in shame.

The police department is a wing of the whole government. One cannot improve police without improving governance. Nobody is perfect, but it is difficult to have a system where 95 out of 100 are prospering, making money and being in the good books of the powers that be. The criminal justice should give more importance to scientific investigation and circumstantial evidence. A time-fame must be fixed for quicker disposal of cases.

The point is a person lost her life to bullets. In which case, there must have been a gun somewhere and someone must have pulled the trigger. It is unfortunate that with such scientific advancement, the Indian investigation continues to depend on eyewitnesses and virtual evidence. This is not surprising given the lathi-charge mentality of our policemen that does not differentiate between a criminal and a law-abiding citizen. Why do the police not resort to scientific investigation?

NSCN(IM)?s nefarious design:
Organiser has rendered a worthwhile service to the nation by publishing the article Greater Nagaland: Great danger to India?s sovereignty (Organiser, 26-2-2006). This is very informative and a must read article. It has thrown light on various aspects of demand of Greater Nagaland by NSCN(IM). The idea of Muivah is apparent that once GoI agrees for greater Nagaland, then the demand for federal structure will be raised, i.e. a separate international boundary between Indian and Naga nation, well-established independent Naga army with a liberty to join enemy forces against India at the time of war, Naga currency with picture of Phizo inscribed on coins and printed at currency notes, Naga national flag and re-written history textbooks portraying Phizo as the father of the nation and underground leaders like Th. Muviah, Isak Chishi Swu and V.S. Atem as Naga national heroes and simultaneously dubbing national leaders like Dr Hokishe Sema, J.B. Jasokie, Vizol, Dr. Imkongliba. T. Sakhrie and the likes traitors, stooges and agents of enemy country?India.

Thanks for publishing the article. Shri K. Kath deserves our sincere thanks for the indepth study of the deep-rooted conspiracy hatched by NSCN(IM). Is Government of India not aware of these facts? It cannot be so that the central government does not know about this conspiracy. The Governor of Nagaland Shri Shyamal Datta was Chief of Intelligence Bureau, New Delhi. The Governor of Assam, Shri Ajay Singh was Lieutenant General in Army serving in the north-east region. Governor of Manipur, Shri S.S. Siddhu too is of same calibre and cadre. What are these Governors doing? Either they are busy in enjoying the royal facilities in respective Raj Bhawans ignoring their sacred national responsibilities or their intelligence reports are ignored by Prime Minister and Home Minister. In both the conditions, the sovereignty of the country is threatened. If respective Governors are not acting to defend our motherland from international conspiracy hatched by NSCN(IM), it is de-reliction of their duties.

It is shocking to read the article by Shri K. Kath. In quest of creating Greater Nagaland, NSCN(IM) is on the spree of land encroachment in Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. They are trying to erase any symbol or monument that links Nagaland with Delhi. This is the reason that Kachari Raj Bari?the remains of the palace of Kachari King, is the worst-hit target of these people who are trying to finish it. The Government of Nagaland is no better. It appears to be in league with NSCN(IM). Should Government of India not intervene to protect this monument?

Please convey my thanks to Shri K. Kath for informing the nation about the conspiracy of NSCN(IM). I also thank you for publishing this article. National media is unaware of NSCN(IM)?s treachery. Organiser has become a leading weekly magazine, which is exposing the conspiracy against the country. NSCN(IM) is a strong terrorist organisation and has the alliance with the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), United National Liberation Front of Arunachal (UNLFA) and many underground organisation of Manipur. In fact, NSCN(IM) is the mother of insurgency in the north-east. It is playing politics through Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) government of Neiphiu Rio in Nagaland. BJP has seven MLAs in Nagaland Assembly and two MLAs of BJP are Cabinet Ministers in Rio Ministry.

NSCN(IM) is a dangerous terrorist organisation with its headquarters in so many countries, as reported in the article. The Meitei community is the prime target of NSCN(IM) because we are Hindus and patriotic people and oppose the formation of Greater Nagaland and the conversion project of NSCN(IM). Meiteis are targeted by Christian forces led by NSCN(IM) on one side and by Islamic forces led by ISI on the other. The most surprising thing to happen in this region is that how could BJP join these anti-national forces? There was a time when we were proud of BJP and common man respected us for being the BJP cadre. Today, we are looked down and ridiculed if we introduce ourselves as BJP workers.

The article is an eye-opener, which Organiser has published. NSCN(IM) leaders are just a tip of an iceberg. There are many agents in the US and the UK, who are helping Muivah and Isak. Christian missionaries are openly supporting them. As per newspapers reports, a section of NSCN(IM) cadres are trained by Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. They are in league with Pakistan?s ISI, CIA, Naxalites and Chinese divisive forces. Bangladesh is the shelter for them. Nagaland?s present Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) government headed by Neiphiu Rio and joined by seven MLAs of BJP have become overground political wing of NSCN(IM) because all the MLAs of Nagaland People?s Front of Neiphiu Rio could win the election exclusively because NSCN (IM) had hijacked the whole election process and directed the voter on gun-point to vote for NPF candidates.

Assault on defence ethos:
Apropos UPA bent on dividing the Army: Chiefs say No (Organiser, 26-2-2006); There is no question of any social transformation as far as defence services are concerned because there is no reservation. In view of the growing religious fundamentalism world over and having regard to the political history of our country, taking statistics of Muslims in defence is fraught with dangerous consequences. It will give rise to Muslim consciousness and lead to ideas like a Muslims regiment, which should be avoided. It is difficult to accept the government stand that it is secular.

All know that the purpose of counting Muslim heads in the Army is to make Muslim quota therein. Hence, a hue and cry from those who know a bit of Indian history and those who suffered Partition. Before the revolt of 1857, the British army had mixed battalions of Hindus and Muslims. Thereafter, on the suggestion of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Muslims were regrouped in separate battalions. In an undivided India, Muslims formed 35-40 per cent of the Army strength, while their population was less than 24 per cent. On the other hand, Hindus (all categories), with a 67 per cent population, had to contend with 36-38 per cent share, except during World War-II when their share once increased to 48 per cent. This disproportionate Muslim content of the Indian Army gave the Muslim League a powerful lever to press its Partition plan on the threat of a civil war. The Hindu Congress could not face it. Since all the Muslim battalions opted for Pakistan, Muslim content in the Indian Army dropped to 3 per cent or so. Now, the Muslims have to raise themselves in competition with others to defend the country, mainly against the Pakistani threats, direct or indirect and join the Army accordingly.

The latest in the series of controversies centered on Congress party?s fixation with exclusively Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian armed forces. It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule. Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got Muslim Army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This Army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India. Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game encouraged by the strife begetting tactics of the communists and Islamists.

US double game:
As per the media news, US will supply advanced combat aircraft like F-16 or F-18 to India. But at what cost?our nuclear technology? Will it supply Arion C-3 Marine Fighter aircraft, which have already entered into Pakistan?s Navy and Indian Navy does not have any answer to them?
