Gujarat Pattern Bio-technology Business
Plan to be prepared by December-2000
NEW DELHI : A decision was taken to prepare a Gujarat Pattern Bio-technology
Business Plan which was aimed at converting State's bio-resources
into developmental resources at the first meeting of newly constituted
Gujarat Council of Bio-technology under the chairmanship of Gujarat

of bio-technology in the State, the Gujarat CM said that use of bio-technology
should be increased in a big way with the help of existing infrastructure
facilities and research management. Prominent scholar Dr M.S. Swaminathan,
who is also the member of the Council, welcomed the suggestion of
conversion of bio-technology into developmental resources. The meeting
was attended by S/Shri Becharbha Bhadani, Minister of State for Agriculture,
