Develop self-confidence in the society H.V. Seshadri, Sahsarkaryavah, RSS Addressing the swayamsevaks on the second day of the Mahashivir Sahsarkaryavah Shri H.V. Seshadri said that self-confidence among countrymen is must for the progress of the nation. "Only a society that has developed confidence for self-security can defend itself. This is what the Sangh has been doing since beginning through the one hour daily shakha," he said. Seventy-five years back, Dr. Hedgewar did not ask for money or praise from anyone. What he asked for was only one hour daily. And this one hour later produced miraculous results and became the mantra of social transformation. Leaders like Gandhiji, Ambedkar, Savarkar and others, who were desperate to unite the Hindu society, were wondered by seeing the results of this one hour mantra. It not only infused self-confidence into the society but also restored people's faith and integrity in the nation, he said calling upon the swayamsevaks not to depend upon the government for everything. "We also have a duty towards the nation. Come forward, and ensure your contribution to save the nation from the ailments like corruption, terrorism, infiltration, injustice, economic slavery, both cultural and environmental pollution, etc. Protect the soil from becoming non-fertile by rejecting chemical fertilizers. Pledge for not to take or give bribe and also not to tolerate or indulge in injustice," he asserted. Referring to the infiltration problem, he pointed out that more than one lakh Bangladeshi Muslims had infiltrated into Saudi Arabia but the Islamic country thrown them out of her soil. On the other hand in our country politicians are not only protecting the infiltrators using them as vote-banks but are busy arranging facilities like ration cards, etc, for the people who are mostly involved in anti-national activities. If you want to save your home, help the administration in sending the infiltrators back to their respective countries, he said adding that the swayamsevaks need to work towards this end. Commenting on the recent kidnapping of Kannada film star Rajkumar by forest brigand Veerappan he criticised the governments of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for agreeing to the brigand's demands. Muslims and Christians also attended the Shivir Muslim and Christian swayamsevaks participated in the Rashtra Raksha Mahashivir in large numbers. "I am not just a show-piece here. I am a swayamsevak for the last 20 years," said Haji Altaf Hussain (41) who was posted at the media centre of the Mahashivir. "Neither is the RSS against Muslims nor is a common Muslim against the RSS. Certain political leaders for their political gains have aroused misconceptions in Muslim community about the RSS. But that will not last long. As education is increasing among Muslims they are coming nearer to RSS," he said. UP divided in seven Prants Reorganising the organisational structure in Uttar Pradesh the Sangh has divided the State into seven Prants and two regions. Earlier there were four prants in the State. The new seven prants are Braj, Meerut, Kanpur, Avadh, Kashi, Uttaranchal and Gorakhpur. 21st century belongs to India Prof Rajendra Singh Former RSS Sarsanghchalak Prof. Rajendra Singh, popularly known as Rajju Bhaiya, who despite his ill health attended the Mahashivir, feels the coming century belongs to Hindus and India. The hundred-year-old prediction of Swami Vivekananda that the 21st century would belong to India and Hindus has come true. "In 1897 Swami Vivekananda had said in London that India would got freedom after 50 years and after Independence there would be no major change in the condition of the country. And even the situation may go worst. But after that, the golden era of the country would begin and India would progress to the extent that it would lead the world," he said. |
