Mahashivir to be held in Agra
Rashtriya Swayamsevak
Sangh (RSS), Brij Prant, is organising a unique three-day camp—Rashtra
Raksha Mahashivir—from October 13-15 in Agra. About 75,000 uniformed
swayamsevaks from 16 districts of the region are expected to participate
in the camp. The camp is being organised to highlight the cause of
national security. The 1971 war hero, Lt Gen Jagjit Singh Arora, will
inaugurate the camp on October 13 at Shastripuram. Paramvir Chakra
winner of Indo-China war Major Dhan Singh Thapa will be honored at
the inauguration ceremony. Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi who played
the role of Chanakya in the famous TV serial Chanakya, would inaugurate
an exhibition at the camp displaying activities being undertaken by
the RSS during the last 75 years.
According to
Shri Ramlal, Brij Prant Pracharak, the camp will be the biggest ever
in the RSS history. About 7,000 tents will be created at the camposite.
Shri Ramlal informed that several renowned personalities like APJ
Abdul Kalam, Home Minister Shri LK Advani, Sarsanghchalak of RSS Shri
KS Sudarshan, former Sarsanghchalak Prof Rajendra Singh, Sahsarkaryavah
Shri HV Seshadri, Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Shri Suresh Rao
Ketkar, VHP Working President Shri Ashok Singhal and Vice President
Acharya Giriraj Kishore and veteran thinker Shri D.B Thengadi are
expected to participate in the camp. (FOC)
