Dr Joshi releases
Hindu Arthshastra

Indore: Union HRD Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi released Hindu Arthshastra,
written by known economist Prof Uday Jain at a function organised
under the auspices of Swadesh and Prabudh Bharati. Speaking on the
occasion, Dr Joshi said that people feel economic thinking had never
been a convention in India. But India had a long tradition of economic
thinking rooted in scriptures like the Vedas, Upanishadas, Puranas,
Vidur Niti and Shukra Niti and is capable of treating the depravities
that the western world is suffering from. Dr Joshi appreciated Prof
Uday Jain's efforts to throw light on Hindu economy through his book.
Minister of State for HRD Smt Sumitra Mahajan presided over. Mayor
Shri Kailash Vijayavargiya, was the chief guest. Chief Editor of the
Swadesh group Shri Manikchand Vajpayee and Editor of Swadesh Shri
Jaikrishna Gaur were also present.
