| Bamangachi ISI hub in WB From Our Correspondent BAMANGACHI Chourasta, is 33 km from the heart of Calcutta on the Calcutta-Jessore Road towards the Indo-Bangladesh border town of Bangaon in North 24 Pargana district. Chourasta means a road crossing or square where there were hardly any Muslims prior to 1993. From the end of 1993, there was some hurried activity of the Muslim infiltrators and surrounding area Muslims who began to buy lands from the resident Hindus of different localities at exorbitant prices beyond immigration. There are reports that lands were sold only for a few thousands according to official records, but got paid in lakhs in hard cash. As a matter of fact within the last few years, Hindus of the area have got reduced to a minority. Local Muslim youths have already started taunting Hindu girls, and when the Hindus draw attention of the local Muslims they advise the Hindus to leave the area by disposing off their lands that fetch highest prices. It is to be noted that Bangladeshi Muslims have infiltrated into India in lakhs with the active connivance of sympathetic local political parties. The Muslim infiltrators already dominate a stretch of some five km from Barasat (district headquarters) to Bamangachi Chourasta. The Bangladeshi infiltrators now plan to occupy the entire Jessore Road stretch from Bamangachi Chourasta to Bangaon, that is up to the Indo-Bangladesh border to create a safe corridor for infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims equipped with petrodollars and ISI money for keeping the friendly political parties in good humour. It is reported that there are more than three hundred ISI hubs in West Bengal and a good number of them stand established in North 24 Pargana district. It is remarkable that in the prestigious Salt Lake area of Calcutta, there are more than one lakh Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators living and maintaining their wayside hubs and stalls on illegal encroached land and proudly proclaiming that they are here for permanent stay as the police and local political touts collect their hafta from them regularly and that if they are driven out, the police personnel and political touts may die of starvationso the infiltrators are sure they could stay on.
